Republic:
The Revolution is set to be a revolutionary strategy game. Its
publishers Eidos Interactive boast that it has “the most advanced
graphic engine ever seen”.

The game is currently being developed by London based Elixir Studios and is due for release in autumn of this year.

The Republic in this game is a past Soviet Union country called
Novistrana. You are a small time faction leader starting with nothing
but a single loyal supporter and a tiny secret HQ. The aim is to build
a nation-wide faction and overthrow the government. In order to achieve
these aims you can persuade, hire, recruit, brainwash or blackmail
specialist characters from army generals to films stars to archbishops.

Eidos also boasts about using “Revolutionary AI techniques”
which will create individual citizens to live in the towns and cities
in Novistrana. The citizens will follow detailed daily routines,
working, shopping, voting etc, with each person having individual
beliefs, emotions, skills and loyalties. Eidos says, “This is a
thousand times more complex than anyone has ever achieved before or is
working on currently.”
