South Korea is far from a gaming paradise for thouse under the age of 18. After last years Cinderella Law which prohibited gamers under the age of 18 from logging in to popular on-line titles between midnight and 6 am the government is now seriously considering limiting the number of hours that minors can play in a day.
The proposed policy is from MEST, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and would allow minors to play for at most 3 hours a day. Their account would be blocked after playing for more than 2 hours straight or 3 hours spread out across the day. The policy is in response to concerns regarding minors becoming addicted to video-games, something they believe is a result of extended exposure to games.

Developer Irrational Games announced today that the upcoming Bioshock Infinite would feature the “1999 Mode” which they promise to be a more challenging experience.
Irrationals creative director Ken Levine said
“I’m an old school gamer. We wanted to make sure we were taking into account the play styles of gamers like me. So we went straight to the horse’s mouth by asking them, on our website, a series of questions about how they play our games.”
“94.6 percent of respondents indicated that upgrade choices enhanced their BioShock gameplay experience; however, 56.8 percent indicated that being required to make permanent decisions about their character would have made the game even better.”
The 1999 Mode will include a number of unnamed tweaks and features which will be absent from the standard Bioshock Infinite gaming experience. It will include “feature demanding weapon, power, and health management” as well as a game over screen if the gamer is unable to re-spawn. Expect many gaming peripherals to bounce off walls as a result of the added difficulty level.
