From tomorrow onward PSN accounts will undergo a name change to Sony Entertainment Network account as part of Sony’s efforts to create an all emcompassing Sony Entertainment NEtwork.

For those afraid of some drastic overhaul to the system, there’s no need to worry as the essentials such as your username and password will remain the same.

Speaking to neoGAF last week a Sony Spokesperson stated: “The goal is for there to be one networked log-in for all Sony services. Changing the name ‘PlayStation Network account’ to ‘Sony Entertainment Network account’ helps clarify the unity between PSN and other Sony Entertainment Network services.”

This rebrand will not apply to the PSP whose users will still see the familiar “PlayStation Network account” when they log in using the PSP.
